THE HEMLOCK

This is one of our larger designs (1800 ft²) with six modules and a capacity for sleeping twelve. Ideal for large families or families that want to holiday together.

The design was specific for the steep slope in Hemlock Valley Resort. Many parts of BC, either in mountainous regions or on the coast, have steep terrain. When this was built, no one in Hemlock Valley had tackled the issue of how to build on such steep terrain.

The site work and construction of the modules were started on September 20, and 8 weeks later, on November 20, the six modules were assembled in one day, weather-tight and ready for a walk through by four o'clock in the afternoon. The EcoFabulous Home featured at the BC Home & Garden Show, was completed in the same amount of time.

Entrance to the main floor is through the attached carport with adequate storage for firewood, which is often essential for the holiday experience. The Master Bedroom with jacuzzi bath, and on the other side, the open Kirchen/Dining and Den, flank the Living Room area with open raftered ceiling, soaring to 18 feet. Heated slate floors in the kitchen and bathrooms add a note of luxury.

The lower floor has two generous bedrooms, a full bathroom, and an open covered deck for the spa. Plastic panels on two sides ensure no cooling drafts will chill shoulders and interfere with the experience of soaking in jetted hot water while enjoying the winter wonderland.
