MODULAR CONSTRUCTION

Building technology has improved dramatically and Modern Modular Design produces a home that is indistinguishable from your neighour's next door, whose house took over a year to build. It has all the advantages of any new home, New Home Warranty, eligible for a mortgage etc.

A Modular Home is constructed in a controlled environment, inside a factory, plastic wrapped and transported to the building site on a trailer. The modules are hoisted into place by crane (hence our PreFabulous Logo) if there is more than one storey. The constructed modules are virtually 100% complete when shipped and are built to the same standards and building codes as conventional building methods. The modules have to be strong and precisely built for the craning and joining of the modules.
A controlled factory environment means that the kiln-dried wood has no weather exposure during construction and this maintains the integrity of the building materials and minimizing weather-related losses. How many site-built homes can claim that important distinction, particularly on the West Coast?
